When I can get hold of really good meat, it becomes a whole day nourishing process from start to table. It springs me into action to make the most nutrious meal possible for me and my family, I make sure that every ingredient is adding nutrients to our bodies. My 3 year old, constantly asking "why"? at the moment also now understands and values what I mean by "good meat", because of how the animal is raised in a natural grass fed environment. She now delights in teaching her Dad that "we are having good meet tonight Dad, yummy", along with telling him why it is good meat. Thank you for the opportunity and your generous offer.

It's amazing how illness can sometimes be a blessing in disguise. My partner has been suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome for the past 4 years and, although it has been a challenging (and expensive) experience, it has opened us both to a world of nutrition that we didn't previously know about. From drinking raw milk, to rendering our own lard/tallow, to making bone broths/stocks (all from grass-fed animals), the health benefits of consuming grass-fed animal products (and foods from traditional diets) would probably have taken much, much longer to come into our lives if Naomi hadn't become unwell. Although there's still a long way to go until she's completely well again, there is no doubt that eating these nutrient-rich foods have improved her overall health.

I'd love to enter the competition. but I'm in SA, however I was wondering if you had any contacts for SA farmers who do meat like yours?
thanks

I've sat for hours wondering why people are getting cancer, and it has to be what we're putting in our bodies, the food we eat and all the chemicals in our everyday life. 1 in 3 people are effected by cancer and something has to be done about it before this world destructs itself and everyone on it, so please try to keep chemical free, for you ,Me, and all our ancestry

I have just finished ordering from Mitchell Grass Meats after reading about it here at Nourished. The only grass fed beef I have eaten was in an expensive restaurant and I am sure it wasn't chemical free. I have lived for years in fear of animal fat despite craving lamb loin chops with the delicious fat. My body knew what I needed before my mind would accept it. I am so glad I found Nourished and Mitchell Grass Meats - I am so looking forward to my Lamb and Beef! I have spent that many years searching for truth when it comes to food and it looks like I have found it. Chemical free - let's make it the norm!

After several health challenges, I have recently had my mercury fillings removed from my teeth and am currently undergoing a detox to rid the body of heavy metals and chemicals, etc. Having had good results from this so far, I am looking to eat more food as nature intended it to be. This includes organic fruit and vegetables and grass fed meat which is free from those nasty chemicals which over-load our immune system. I have only recently sampled some of your meat at a friend's place and was impressed with the quality and the 'fresh' taste of the meat....simply delicious and as nature intended. Keep up the good work as a supplier of quality 100% grass fed, chemical free meat.

We try hard to consume whole foods and nourishing foods and it's really not that easy. Firstly the avaliablity is prohibitive (ah...when I was girl...) and then there's the cost...on an aged pension the dollar doesn't stretch too far. A pack of this lovely meat, which I have tried only once before - and devoured! - would be a welcome gift.

I used to eat meat, but as I became aware of what the animals were being fed, as well as how the animals were kept, I found I could not eat meat anymore. For some years I have tried to find good meat, but it is not easy. Thanks to you farmers and my continued search, and subsequent subscription to Nourished Magazine, I will have access to meat as I used to have when growing up on the family farm (in a different country). I should be grateful to be able to make a meal with meat that I know is healthy and clean. Thank you for making it possible for us to do so.

Hi Anna and George,

I have just been searching everywhere trying to find out where to get grass fed, chemical free meat. My search came up with this site. I really just want to know where I can get it. I live between Toowoomba and Gatton. My health has been on the edge of late and I have been in and out of hospital. I eat organic vegetables but have had no luck finding healthy meat to eat. I have also been told to stay clear of pork and chicken, so I am looking for lamb and beef. Your help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. I would really love to start eating the meat you provide and want to know where I can get it.
Yours truly,
Angelina.

For most of my life I've been a vegetarian. I couldn't stomach how animals were treated, as meat factories, with such little regard for their quality of life. Despite this, after reading Nourishing Traditions, I made the tough decision to start eating red meat again. I thought, if I'm going to be eating this, I have to do so in good conscience. So, I chose grass fed meats, just a little to start. When I first tried grass fed meat I couldn't believe the difference! It wasn't chewy, sinewy and lean as the meat I'd remembered from my childhood, it was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, with a thick layer of tasty fat on the edge. Now my husband is 'allowed' to eat nourishing fats, he says it's the best part! When we eat it for dinner we are both so satisfied we don't even think about dessert. Since then I've eaten grass fed meat roasted, grilled, bar-be-qued and in curries and stews. It always trumps any clinical, greyish supermarket cut. I'm never going back!
